Hello, I am Mike Evans, drummer with Sheffield UK Band, The Electric Luddites . I created this site to help new owners of the 2Box drum system get to know the way it works and get started quicker.
This is NOT an official 2Box site ..... the official 2 box site is www.2box.se Another very useful resource is www.2box-forum.com Below is a text file that lists the built in-kits and also all the sounds that are assigned to each of the pads and cymbals. Plus some additional info such as the volume , pan , decay etc. The order of the kits may be different from your unit as this was given to me by someone in the USA and the order seemed to be different than mine. You should be able to open it in Wordpad or Notepad etc. I put this here for download because for some reason it's not available on the 2Box website . I think it is vital to know what's already on the unit before you go messing about and changing it. If you do change it and forget to make a note of what you've done - this will help you by showing how the original kits were set up.

VIDEOS
I have made 10 videos that cover the basics of the 2Box Drumit Five system. Plus a few others about my own set ups. If you watch these they should help you to understand the basics of the equipment and how it works. They don't go into every single feature just the main ones to get you started. Once you understand how these work you should know enough about the system to follow the written instructions in the 2Box Manual. Video 1 - BE PREPARED - useful things to do even before you get the kit Video 2 - WHAT THE BUTTONS DO - just so you know what to expect Video 3 - CONNECTING TO A COMPUTER - how to do it and what happens when you do Video 4 - KIT EDITING on PC PT 1 - things you can do to the existing sounds - changing, adding to kits Video 5 - KIT EDITING on PC PT 2 - creating new sounds from WAV files and adding them to the Unit Video 6 - EDITING ON THE UNIT - things you can do when the Unit isn't attached to the PC Video 7 - ATTACHING THE UNIT TO A KIT - also covers info on the slots on the back of the Unit Video 8 - My own 2Box set up Video 9 - My acoustic/Electronic Hybrid kit Video 10 - 2Box brain with Roland TD6 kit Click on the blue links above to view the videos. |
